With mindfulness, all that matters is to really notice what you are doing in the moment. Focus on all that you are experiencing as you do something.

You can do anything mindfully. If your mind wanders off to other thoughts, just notice and gently bring focus back to what’s in front of you.

Going for a walk, you might begin by noticing all the sounds you hear concentrating briefly on each sound, the quality, how close, how far. Notice what you see. Notice all the sensations in your body – the air on your face, the feel of your clothes on your skin, your feet in your shoes, your breath.

You can do routine tasks mindfully, noticing everything about the experience of washing dishes, eating a meal, making a meal, shopping, taking a shower, etc.

It’s all about slowing down to really notice your experience in the moment.

After all, this is your life. Right here, right now, in this moment.
